Today more than before our ecological instincts are undermined by the dissonant shocks of the chronic disastrous mismanagement in environment the need for restoration is relevant. Then multi-layered, innovative and smart architecture and the programs hosted by MO will provide a broader perspective on the interaction between the urban environment, nature, and humans.
The building will be fully integrated into environment of the Botanical Garden in the metropolitan area of the Riga city and will transform along with the climate, ensuring a strong presence of nature in all seasons. The combination of balanced natural and digital resources will contribute to the emotional and mental well-being of its visitors and create an important experience to set new research areas.
For those tasks be achieved MO will have a particularly original, state of art digital platform that will be developed for this construction. As well the inner climate control will be adjustable to seasons and activities inside the building with the most effective energy consumption. The lighting of the halls and rooms and the surrounding area will be included in human activity at the time and it will be regulated both with the help of a digital platform and natural light.

Research towards the understanding of the factors influencing the human recreation cycles will form the baseline and innovative technological solution suggestions are expected from joining partners. Within a moderate area of approximately 300 m2 large premises the following tasks will have to be solved in order to create the most favourable environment for the Meditation Observatory research and education programs:
1. the sustainability of the climate control system according to the season,
2. lighting control indoors and outdoors,
3. multi-functional solutions for acoustic tasks,
4. possibilities of virtual reality equipment for seminars, lectures, conferences with 3D projections,
5. thematic lectures and researches of the augmented reality program,
6. original communication applications for various special social survey and communication tasks.
